Hi, I’m Ro,
I was born and raised in the Southside of Chicago where I found my artistic side during my early teen years when I first learned of linoleum cuts and screen printing. I received my BFA in Studio Art with a Printmaking emphasis from Grand Valley State University in Michigan (April 2015). Today, I continue to search ways to use my artistic skills to give back to the community.

My work focuses on cultural images as a first generation Mexican American young woman and the connections and disconnections between the lifestyle of my immigrant parents and the one I have built for myself. My cultural roots and traditions inspire me.
